Overview: Write of Passage is launching a new writing curriculum program aimed at teens. Their existing curriculum for adults will be adapted and revised to fit the learning needs of a younger audience.
Problem: There are thousands of online platforms for teenagers to share their writing, but nowadays the technique and skill they should be developing is taught in a "teach to the test" classroom. As a result, students are often turned off from engaging in learning opportunities outside of school.
Solution: Adapt and revise a current curriculum into one that resonates and connects with a younger audience. While students will be learning vital skills to succeed in online writing, they will be doing so in a way that speaks to their individual interests and learning styles.
Design Challenge: Adapt a lesson on writing engaging introductions designed for adult writers into an approachable and relative lesson for teens.
