📌 Overview

This course provides a high-level introduction to the Life & Accident and Health (L&AH) insurance industry. It is designed to equip employees with foundational knowledge needed to support product development, client interactions, and decision-making related to Group and Individual policies, life insurance, and health products.

🧩 The Challenge

As a conceptual-level course meant for new hires and employees unfamiliar with the insurance domain, the biggest challenge was maintaining a balance between clarity and complexity. The course needed to present industry concepts in a simple, engaging, and non-technical way. Midway through the project, a training need for an additional asset emerged. Thanks to effective time management and project pacing, this module was successfully added before launch.

Primary & Supplemental Health Insurance
Dental Insurance Overview

It serves as a bridge between introductory training ("Insurance Fundamentals") and advanced functional training on Majesco’s Policy & Billing and Claims systems.

👩‍💻 My Role

I led the project from start to finish, managing both the instructional design and project execution. My responsibilities included:

Learning needs analysis and curriculum design
Scriptwriting, storyboarding, and development in Storyline
Visual design and interaction building
SME coordination and review management
Timeline and workload oversight

The deck for the kickoff meeting included the course purpose and breakdown of curriculum, stakeholder roles and responsibilities, deliverables, project timeline and SME resources.

The course outline included a high-level breakdown of topics and subtopics for each course asset.

Storyboard reviews for each course asset were facilitated through a shared Microsoft Excel document. Each section of the course asset was divided into tabs and each SME attached to the project had their own designated column to provide feedback comment. This format allowed for ease of revisions and tracking changes.

🎯 Audience and Delivery

Assigned to over 400 employees across Product, Services, Support, and Sales teams—including contingent workers—the course played a critical role in standardizing baseline insurance knowledge across the L&AH business.
